Community Outreach

St. Mary School is proud to give back to the local community. We support our local St. Vincent de Paul food pantry through various seasonal food drives. School families provide toys to the Project Snowpile toy drive at Children's Hospital to deliver Christmas cheer to little ones that are hospitalized during the holiday.

Students from St. Mary School can be seen singing Christmas carols to the elderly at Clinton Place and creating festive placemats to share seasonal cheer with the hospitalized.

Recent school-sponsored events have included efforts to beautify the City of Mt. Clemens through a "Clean Up the Clem" day in which staff, students, and parents cleaned three local parks while the Junior Girl Scouts of St. Mary School gave a fresh coat of paint to Miller Brothers Creamery, a popular destination for all St. Mary families with a sweet tooth for ice cream.

Additionally, the staff and students at St. Mary School participate in $1 jean days to raise money for local nonprofit organizations. Over time, these local institutions have shared their gratitude with our school community:
"We greatly appreciate the financial support which enables us to continue our current programs and services, which focus on water quality, conservation, education, and habitat, to the over 1.5 million people that live, work and play in our watershed. Thank you once again for your support and generous donation."

-Clinton River Watershed Council
"A special thanks for your most generous donation of $331.75 from your 'jeans day' campaign. We value your support for the families that find it necessary to stay with us throughout the year. On behalf of our entire team and all the people we serve, we send our heartfelt gratitude."

"Thank you for your support and for donating the proceeds of St. Mary's Catholic School Jeans Day fundraiser to us.
